5. Sea Pines Forest Preserve

Located inside the Sea Pines Plantation, the Sea Pines Forest Preserve is a unique natural wonder.  Trails and boardwalks lace the marshy woods and former rice paddies.  Several small ponds are just perfect for fresh water fishing.

You can enter most easily off of Greenwood Drive just inside the main gate of the plantation. Free maps are available to facilitate your self-guided tour.  Along the way, you'll see plenty of signs and informational plaques to enhance your experience and guide you through a walk into Hilton Head Island's natural past.
